Safargony

Beautiful bug in the new Safari.

Go to the Xbench comparison page and click on the "# of systems" column.

It seems to think that there's one huge link encapsulating everything. As near as I can tell, this is valid XHTML, and Safari is misinterpreting <a id="tableTop" /> (an anchor tag) as a big link. Silly Safari.

Sibling Rivalry

Now that Naomi is blogging, I'm feeling more competitive about posting more than fortnightly. And so today's exciting topic is... The weather. Specifically, Wisconsin weather.

Yesterday was in the 80's -- yet today the temp has plummented to 40, and the forecast calls for "Wintry Mix" tonight. I'm not sure if this is similar to "Chex Mix," or "DJ Snazzy Dongle's Fab Winter Mix," but it definitely is cause for concern.

Miscellany

Interesting article on the CIA's early support of Hussein. I'm glad we'll never set up one of those puppet regimes again. Right guys? Right? hello?

Jan has released Comictastic 2.0 today. Looks good so far.

I've been downloading lots of stuff via BitTorrent lately. Ugly-ass icon, but it actually works fairly well, once you configure your firewall. I was even able to download the 1.8GB RedHat 9 installation in about 12 hours, which isn't bad over 512K DSL. Also, the new Matrix trailer only took about 40 minutes.

Malty

Yesterday I ate some chocolate malt balls. Today I will do the same, only with some pasta thrown in. Perhaps I will regret this sometime this evening, but I doubt it. The fridge is out of milk, and when the fridge is out of milk, certain visiting parties who may or may not be writing a blog entry for Ladd get angry.
